[Egon will receive a message from Connor around midday, who smiles slightly into the camera. Beside him on the floor is a shiny Foongus, and it glitters purple in the light coming through the windows.]

Hello Dr. Spengler. I have a proposition for you.

[He gestures to the Foongus, who does her best to look impressive.]

This is Willows. I caught her a while ago, but I haven't been able to give her the training she deserves. I was wondering if you'd like her?

[Egon is only mildly aware of the message being sent to his device, but when he sees the Foongus, his eyes immediately go wide and he grips his PokéGear tightly.]

Where did you get such an impressive specimen? She's absolutely gorgeous.

[He says this all in an extremely deadpan tone. When he realizes that his enthusiasm is getting the better of him, he clears his throat and leans back, nodding.]

I would appreciate that. I am an avid researcher of fungi and similar organisms, and the fungus-like Pokémon of this world greatly interest me.

I met her at Sprout Tower.

[The Foongus glows under Egon's praise, and Connor looks down at her with a slight smile.]

Where should I send her?

Send her to Azaela Town, if you can. My partner and I are passing through to study the flora and fauna that life in the area.

[He barely looks like he can contain his excitement--which means Egon has his same trademark deadpan expression, save for the fact one eyebrow is raised.]

Would you be interested in an egg or another Pokémon to trade? It does not feel right simply accepting a gift such as this one.

If you have a Pokemon you'd like to give me in return, I'll take it. It's not required, though. If not, maybe you'll have an egg that interests me in the future.

[He doesn't know what Egon has right now, in terms of Pokemon or eggs.]

[Egon thinks for a moment.]

I have several Solosis eggs, if you'd be interested in that. Alternatively, I can offer a Dratini egg, though I can't guarantee it will be Shiny.

I've already got a Reuniclus from one of your eggs. And I do have a Dragonair.

[But maybe a Dratini with egg moves would be beneficial?]

Do you have any other eggs? I can wait for future eggs, if not.

I do not at this moment, but I'll be glad to breed any of my current Pokémon, if you're interested in them.

[He sends Connor a list of his Pokémon.]

Of course, if you'd rather wait until I have gathered my resources, that's perfectly acceptable, as well. I'll write down that you have claim to a free egg.

Could you breed your Scolipede? I was going to get one eventually anyway, and having one with egg moves would be useful.

[Does this man need more bug Pokemon? No. Is he going to get more? You bet your ass he is.]

[BUG POKEMON SOLIDARITY. Egon seems to brighten at that suggestion.]

Of course. Sir Vincent Wigglesworth is a fine specimen. I'll let you know as soon as I have an egg to give to you, and send it over immediately.

[He says the name with an utterly serious tone.]

[You know what? There are worse names.]
