He assumes it's more of a "why are you carrying a grown adult into an elevator" sort of questioning glance. Whatever fear lingers in the back of his mind has slowly begun to peel from his psyche, but of course, it'll take some more time to get completely used to the attention--or, uh, lack thereof.]
You know, they quite closely resemble diving bell spiders, except, of course, the diving bell spider uses a pocket of air to dive underwater while Araquanids use a pocket of water to survive on land. [A pause.] Most of the so-called "spider" Pokémon don't even have eight legs, and most of the Bug-type Pokémon only have four legs...perhaps it is a dimensional anomaly that the creatures have evolved to have fewer legs than in my native dimension.
[When they get to their floor, Egon steps out into the hallway, still carrying Venkman. He's somewhat grateful for the fact that he's spent the last few years of his life carrying around heavy nuclear reactors on his back while running around Manhattan.]
