She follows him at a distance at first, walking down the hall as fast as her little bird legs can carry her and taking flight as soon as she gets outside. She leads Egon forward, though it's... kind of hard to miss where she's taking him.
First of all, Venkman is currently face down, in the center of a shallow crater of sand in the middle of the beach. Second of all, there's an alien hovering over him.
... Right, right, aliens don't exist. Fine. A light brown, floating creature with a giant head and no mouth hovers over Venkman, gently tapping him with her hands. Even if Egon hadn't turned into a Beheeyem during the weird weekend, he could probably have put two and two together once the Pokemon looked up at him and blasted his brain with a mixture of excitement, fear, concern, and confusion.
And it really is a blast- the sand is disturbed by the slight wave of energy, and Egon may be pushed back ever so slightly with the force of it. It's followed by apologetic guilt- this time deliberately controlled to not overwhelm.
